| Reliable Bob, owner of Red Oak Renovations, sheds some light on directions for an installation at a bathroom renovation in Littleton, Mass. |

After a 24-year career in corporate America, Bob left to follow a dream -- to own and operate his own home repair business. Bob created Bob's Home Repair in 2003, and friends became his first customers.
"They started calling, then our friends told their friends about me. The business took off. I've been blessed with a steady stream of work," Bob said. "My customers are my best sales people and the call me back for repeat business." The name Reliable Bob was born, and it stuck.
In 2006, Bob and and his wife Susan moved into a winterized cottage in Ayer. Bob realized his calling of creating distinctive kitchens and bathrooms.
After considering razing the former cottage, Susan and Bob calculated a savings of $100,000 by renovating almost every room and adding on a master bedroom. Click on A Whole House Renovation for the full story.
The project allowed Bob to define his niche: designing and building remarkable kitchens and bathrooms. "I like the complexity of making an existing kitchen or bathroom more beautiful and usable," Bob said. "Renovating kitchens and baths calls on my multiple skill set, and adds a layer of challenge."
With the new specialty came a new name in 2008 -- Red Oak Renovations, designer and builder of remarkable kitchens and bathrooms.
Bob is a licensed contractor supervisor in Massachusetts. Red Oak Renovations is fully insured, and employees are covered by worker's compensation.
