Two new bathrooms Compared to the kitchen renovation, tearing out one bathroom and creating a new bathroom seemed simple.
"We salvaged a jumbo claw-foot tub to give the master bathroom a country-feel," Susan said. "I love the walk-in shower with two shower heads." Dual vessel sinks, radiant heat, tongue-and-groove wainscoting and vintage tiles finish the room. The master bedroom features a vaulted ceiling, clerestory window, radiant heat and African blood-wood floors. "We opted for a big closet with bi-fold doors instead of a walk-in closet," Susan said.
The main bathroom has custom-tile work, wainscoting and radiant heat. Chalkboard paint adds a fanciful touch. A light tunnel from the roof provides daylight without a skylight.
Red Oak Renovations' showroom includes a permanent display of a working kitchen and two bathrooms. Bob and Susan reconfigured existing space and put on a modest addition with just enough space as they down-sized.
