Restored cabinets as good as new
I'm really happy with Reliable Bob's work. True to his
name, Reliable Bob worked with my schedule over two months to replace every
floor in our home with hardwood and tile. Bob rejuvenated existing kitchen
cabinets and added new cabinets. The old cabinets looked so good that the
painter asked, "Are these cabinets new?" We could go to work worry-free and
come home to see the progress. Best of all, Bob gave us quality workmanship within

Bob is professional, courteous and a good communicator. He is honest
about what he can and cannot do. In our case, we have an old house and a
limited budget. Bob does a good job of making suggestions of how to
stay within our budget, and work we can do ourselves.
When Bob
came to drywall a back staircase, he noticed the ceiling needed redoing.
Even though it was outside of the parameters of the job, Bob said we
could mix latex paint with joint compound and swirl it on the ceiling.
It was a quick, cost-effective, easy project for us to do after he left.
Bob wasn't even working on that aspect of the job. It looks fantastic,
and it was fun and fast.
Bob always has a lot of good ideas and
suggestions. I really like that, especially when you live in an old
house, like we do. We often call him for his expertise as a contractor,

Reliable Bob builds a triple-header at Nagog Woods I
have a triple-header of Reliable Bob's work in the form of three
renovated bathrooms in my home. A neighbor recommended Bob to me, and
since his triple header, I have recommended him to others in Nagog
Woods. Bob is professional, on time, and has an excellent design sense.
Because he is multi-talented, it minimizes the need for subcontractors,
so the job gets done quickly.
I appreciated the fast turnaround
on the three bathroom renovations, and reasonably accurate cost
estimates. I liked being able to go with him to Home Depot to pick out
the fixtures, tile and other materials. The sub-contractors he did use

Composite deck proves it's weather-proof Reliable
Bob and crew repaired some major dry-rot on several of our windows and
rebuilt our front sun deck with the new composite boarding. We were
ambivalent about the new composite, but he worked very patiently with
us, gave usa choice of several different styles, and we're very

Bob's expertise fills in the gaps for do-it-yourself-er Reliable
Bob worked with me to renovate my kitchen and bath. I planned the bathroom renovation and Bob supplied ideas on how to
light it. He did an excellent job of tearing out everything and
rebuilding it from the walls out.
For the kitchen, I planned an Ikea kitchen
renovation and we did most of the installation ourselves. I
called Reliable Bob one day when we amateurs needed his expertise. I
like how clean Bob and his crew work. They use drop-cloths and
put away everything at the end of the day so I don't trip over tools and

Bob's attention to cost and neatness are appreciated The first project Bob did for us was to replace all of our windows and the front door. Several years previous, we had gotten an estimate from a replacement window company and decided not to go ahead because the cost seemed too high. Bob's estimate was considerably less.
We took his recommendation on specific windows and he coached us to obtain an online rebate process to get the best deals on windows. The new windows have eliminated drafts and are easy to open. One window required fashioning a new sill, and Bob's handmade sill looks better than the original.
I was very impressed at how his crew worked without totally disrupting our house, and how clean he left the house at the end of each day. We have since used him for a downstairs renovation, with equally happy results. Bob replaced a window, built a wall and a closet. He shows up when he says he will and finishes the project on schedule.
